I have reclaimed a plot from woodland over the past couple of years. there are now no trees nearby and all the stumps have been dug out of the ground. When I was digging things out last year I noticed hundreds of shiny black, hard skinned, millipedes. At the time I thought that they would be woodland animals and they would die out if they had nothing to live on.
My mistake. I spent today doing some digging, cleaning up etc. and found that they are still there and living off dead compost stuff. They got into my spuds last year so any tips on getting rid of them would be useful.
Thanks for reading and for all the advice that I know will follow.
