Hoping someone can help, the leaves on my Arum lily (grown in a pot) are being eaten by something, there are random holes in the leaves and the edges of some of the leaves have been eaten away.
Today I found a empty black case (cocoon/shell? not sure how to describe it) attached to the underside of one of the leaves. It was about 1/2 inch long and fixed to the leaf by what looked like a spiders web.
I'm not sure if this is anything to do with the pest that is eating the leaves or not, but I am pretty sure it is not slugs or snails attacking it as I use copper tape on the pot and check regularly for these.
Hope someone may be able to help identify the pest and even more importantly advise me on how to control them.
Many thanks in advance.
