  • Red spots on gooseberry

Hi, it's been a while since I have been on here but my 22 month old has been keeping me busy. The good side is he seems to have taken to gardening as well.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone can tell me what's wrong with my goosberry bush.I bought it last year and the fresh green leaves look good and strong.
But 2 days ago I noticed several of the leaves have bright red spots on them. They measure between 2-4 mm.They are not raised and the rest of the leaf looks fine.I removed the leaves, but I have now noticed more.Books and the internet come up with leaf spot, but they say they are small brown or black dots that become more numerous. Then the leaves curl up and dye back. The dots are bright red not brown or black.Any ideas, and how do I treat it?

    Any help please.
