the war on slugs

no doubt this has been covered every yr, but couldnt find if anyone had tried the slug gone slug pellets
Also as the one of the ingredients is found in wool, wouldddddddddd sheeps wool work ( if pegged down ) or natrual non foam backed rugs or carpet works .... just a thought?
