As I now have a wormery and have just read about NZ flatworms does anyone know if slugs eat earthworms? Just found one in my wormery. Or am I just in shock after reading how the flatworms despatch our native earthworms.

But in answer to the question, there are small slugs in my wormery too, or there were when I had one!
Thanks guys - I am getting quite protective about my wormery worms though I haven't started to name them yet. I'm also getting a bit squeamish in my old age.

All worms have to worry about is birds, hedgehogs, badgers and foxes as far as I know, and probably many more predators. However, they dig them out of the ground not your lovely wormery.
