SlugGone 3.5 litre bucket [Organic Slug Pellets] - Angus Horticulture Ltd - angus-horticulture.co.uk

found this just, did find an ole thread on this so ive now got to expect a smell and determined slugs getting over this.
A lot of plotters have been giving me the sympathic look when i say im determined not to use slug pellets ( the look of we've been there and gave in, ) and a lot of plotters do use hell of a lot of pellets ive noticed, there is blue everywhere. While i know their crop is important, there are an awful lot of wildlife at the site, and those so called organic pellets are not as enviromentally freindly as you think.

for 7 odd quid which unless you are buying the poundshops slug pellets, isnt a bad price i dont think for 3.5 litres, Im going to experiment with this stuff and add ground seashells ( which i get for nothing as i live next to the sea ) Im going to wash the shells first to lower the salt a bit as not to effects the plants to much, and once the pellets have swelled i will sprinkle a load of the crushed shells. Ive got to give it a try.

grapefruits are going well find loads under them in hotspots, but ive yet to stick out my slug delicacies yet ie. lettuces

Have I lost the plot you reckon

        Slugs are eating vine text

An anomaly, the text in the quotebox done by Zaz ("hose so called organic pellets are not as enviromentally freindly as you think")does not appear in the original post and there is not a post edited box in the original post, system glitch maybe

Hi ,I am reading your thread and with regard to slugs I use coffee grounds mixed with egg shells ( I bake this mixture when I gather 4-5 pounds in roasting tray to make sure there is no bacteria left)
I used this for the past 3 years with very good results. The slugs are not eating any of my crops and is very good in case you might have calcium deficient soil.
if you are not an coffee manic like us (I am Italian and my husband is French-algerian ...) you can always ask the coffee shop to save their coffee grounds and they really have loads .This is so effective ,I can't stress enough.
good luck and hope it goes well.

Do you crush the egg shells - and if so how finely? Thanks
