  • Gooseberry mildew? Can i just pick off the bad ones?

Noticed this white powder on some gooseberries for a couple of weeks, but it is literally no more than 10 affected on the whole bush. Ive only seen a few looking worse than this and they dropped off themselves.

Can i pick them off and be done with it? or will it affect others regardless? I really hope i can save this crop!

    thanks

If you happen to notice a small amount of disease on any plant, it is wise to pinch-out the diseased bit as soon as possible because it will spread - sometimes very rapidly, or sometimes scattering its spores over the whole plant which results in a sudden, overwhelming attack the following growing season season.
