I like the fact that the name of it is almost unpronounceable and it was found in Wales!

Looks like a beached Beluga whale...just smaller.

'We think this is the first time a Welsh word has been used in an animal's scientific name.'

It wasn't just found in any old part of W(h)ales either but very near my garden! Ghastly, ghostly thing. Hope I don't come across any of its offspring

                        Well done SS.

Just realised the connotations of that abbreviation. Slugs be afraid...be very afraid!

If they eat worms like spaghetti, they must be slurpers not chompers.........

The thing is ghastly, not ghostly! Know what I'd do if I found one..... (no, not shoot it with my bow and arra!! )
If the river hasn't reached the top of your step, DON'T PANIC!

This is probably going to sound silly but I was on my lottie the other day and hand gathered a good few medium sized slugs. I was going to just lob them over the railway fence or the uncultivated plot next to me but I thought no...they're just going to come back to my sweet tasting veg so I ground them into my bark chipping path with the heel of my welly while saying sorry to the great slug heaven overseer.

Tonight I'm going to be having nightmares about ghost slugs!

Hope you'll excuse me for this DK, but when I read about Giant Slugs and see your name, I have this picture of one of those rotating Donner kebab thingys, made up, not with lamb but with slugs!
If that's not enough to put you off your souvlakis, nothing will!
