Weelllllllllll. The one's inside the pots have fared better, but they have been nibbled a bit by summat. However, the rest of my 50+ courgettes, squashes etc have disappeared almost entirely
So, the pots definitely work, but for how much longer, who knows.
Don't delay me, I have to sow yet more courgettes Three tries for a Welshman etc...

I've sort of copied you VC. I only had a couple of large yogurt pots in the recyling box, so have used those and some cut-up water bottles. Two days/nights now and no nibbles so farIf it comes from a plant, eat it. If it was made in a plant, don't!!

ive done similar but with water bottles, another tip packets with thin paper on, leave it on as slugs and snails like to eat paper, ive actually left all my bottles on the actual patch around veg, to save me taking the paper off for them to eat that and grapefruits skins they are getting a feast, until i get to do my salt buckets rounds, touch wood damage has been minimal,
i planted runner, bolotti, squash, pumpkin, cougette, peas, sweetcorn, in same square and all they have decimated is the french beans and two sunflowers, and 90% id say were bottle protected, not used any pellets, ( so far, though my french beans may have to have extra protection with the next lots 3rd )
you dont just have to use yoghurt pots, and if you are desperate, ask on freecycle or raid recycle bins when they go out on rubbish dayLast edited by areia; 27-06-2012, 12:57 AM.
