Cucumbers are turning round and yellow. What do I do?

My cucumbers are turning round and yellow. I had this problem last year. I got one good this year and then it started happening again. Help!!! Thanks in Advanced.

looks like you left it on the vine too long, like it's trying to fruit.
Cut i off smaller next time. Are you sure it's a cucumber plant and not a gherkin?

What variety is it?

Could it be Crystal Lemon? Although, it doesn't look quite right for that.

I'm thinking the same as Taff - as my gherkins look just like that if I find one lurking that was missed.
