  • tiny flies nest in my raised beds!

    hi there!
i was planting some thing in my raised beds yesterday which are filled with mushroom compost and multi purpose on top with a small amount of seaweed at the very bottom, and as i dug a small hole i found what looks like a small nest of tiny flies!
does anyone know what they are, or if they are going to be a problem?
    i dont have a clue!
any help would be much appriciated!

Every compost bin I've ever seen has clouds of little flies. I think they are part of the rotting down process. Probably something to do with your mushroom compost. If it were me, I wouldn't worry about it!

Unless, of course, someone else knows better!
