Red spider

HELP!!!!!!

I have just discovered red spider in the aubergines. The rest of the things in the tunnel seem fine, that is tomatoes, peppers and gerkins. Because of the bad weather I have kept the humidity down so as not to encourage rot. I have now sprayed with soft soap and increased the humidity is there anything else I can do? I don't The plants are producing lots of aubergines but I don't want to loose all the leaves and then the plants.

If so good luck, I tried everything to get rid of them from my chilli's, even biological control which only made it worse.

I now resorted to a chemical spray from homebase, one that I have used before for greenfly, but this one actually now does red spider mite too (did not used to)

I don't like to use chemicals so if I can keep them under control by other means I will try.

are they red mites you can see or the microscopic ones, that all you find are webs?

If you can see them they are red velvet mites and don't harm veg

Can't help if it's the tiny ones, even bought a pesticide spray last year, and it didn't make any difference, they seem to have developed immunity, crafty beggars *expletive deleted *

They are red mites. I am spraying daily with soft soap and will have to wait for the new growth to see if it works! We will see. Anyone else got any ideas?

I tired everything over the last year. seriously, they destroyed my prize chilli plant.
you can get them "under control" with non chemical methods, but never get rid of them and you are left "controlling them" for 30 minutes a day on every sunny day".
well at least I could not get rid of them.
there are lots of threads/docs all over the internet on them with the same answers.

I can tell you the chemical one I resorted to if you want to know.
