  • What are these caterpillars on my raspberry leaves?

Found a lot of these caterpillars on my raspberries this morning, most were huddled in groups on the end leaves. About 2 cm in length and they appear to have a diamond like pattern on them. Not hairy. When leaf tapped near them they curled up and dropped off.

    Anybody able to identify them?

Sawfly. They've just turned my yellow raspberry to bare sticks

I'm picking them off and feeding them to my fish

They've stripped my stuff too - esp my gooseberries - seems to have been 3 waves of them for me so far this year.

I thought raspberry sawfly larvae were green?
They havn't ate holes in my leaves, but some of my leaves are like paper.

My chickens didn't complain when they had them for a snack the other day )
