  • Foxes - how do you deter them?

Having done a major replant of my mother's garden, local fox cubs are making quite a mess. I block up holes under the fence as I find them, but I can't be there more than once a week.

Has anyone experience of the various 'fox deterents' on the market? I know they get used to ultrasonic deterents really quickly, so what else works?

All ideas gratefully received - but no, I'm not going to shoot them!

We have foxes and have had them for 30 years. They have lived where they do for at least 50 years...

    Electric fences work.

    Trapping and killing works.

    All else is words.

Best advice I was given is to mark the territory with human scent. The easiest way is to distribute urine round the garden and any areas the foxes habitually cause a nuisance. Method of dsipersal entirely for your own choosing
