    What do the leaves smell like when you rub them?
    Does it flower?
    It looks like a deadnettle of some sort.

      deffo not dead nettle, i like them and have a big patch for those.
      just been out, and the leaves dont smell of anything.

        have never given it the chance to flower as its so invasive and next doors garden is just an overgrown jungle.

          I think it's lemon balm. A mint species which will be hard to get rid of. But useful for culinary purposes on the positive side.

                I've just had the below id'd as lemon balm, the leaves let off a lemon scent as soon as you touch them

                  it does have a square stem and covered in hairs.
                  but as i say no smell at all.

                        if it's not any of the dead nettles or yellow archangel, my best guess would be horehound, but I've grown that, and it stayed where it was put, not invasive at all. How tall has it grown next door?
