Sorry if this has been asked recently, although I've searched and can't find anything.
I am regularly finding little black beetles in my ripe strawberries. They are about 5mm long, and when alive, scuttle quickly, but don't seem to fly. Most of the time, I'm finding a hard black shell, inside a hole in the strawberry. I've searched Google images, and the nearest I can find is a sap beetle. Is this common, and can I spray ? Would I still be able to eat the fruit afterwards? I garden organically, so it would need to be a suitable killer.
