Possible weed?

Hi,
I have a sneaking suspicion that this is a weed, but wanted to check before ripping it out.
It stays low and roots itself at regular intervals. No sign of any flowers.

Have had a google and just need to pull it out, although will probably have it forever. lol
Given my lovely clay soil it must be loving it
It's in the flower border, so not too worried. Different story if it was in the veg!

Pull it out wherever you can - its spreads like wildfire!! It always catches me out - I see the flowers, think Ooh they're pretty, I can't pull them up yet, then suddenly, I can't move for it!! Have no mercy!!!

I left it, wondering what it was. It grew overnight and was everywhere, next year I'll be rady!

Well it's all out.
had one very small clump and another larger one.
I shall keep an eye out, as the larger one was intertwined with a large Echinacea, and I couldn't be certain without digging that up too

just need to pull it out

You need to make sure you get the whole thing out, or it will grow back from a tiny bit of crown left in the soil.
Get a trowel or a sharp knife under the crown and cut it out, don't just pull.

Buttercup will survive burying too, so let it dry out on a path for a day or two before adding it to the compost heap
