I have had loads this year - a dozen per square metre in some beds - and have been putting them on the bird table or out onto the field for the birds (green woodpeckers have been happy!).
Now, I'm just getting the first signs of damage - parsnips and climbing beans collapsing and with the roots completely chewed away. Well, I assume it is the leatherjackets.
Any fixes, or is it just yet another pest that I'm stuck with?
