Rust

My overwintered broad beans have lots of rust on the leaves - probably caught it from the garlic planted nearby although the garlic is much less affected.

Do I need to remove & destroy the BBs to prevent the rust spreading to the rest of the lottie - esp the spring planted BBs and peas in the next rows? Will they be OK for another week until I can get another crop from them?

Unlikely to have spread from your garlic as it will be a different race of rust.

There's not much you can do, but you shouldn't need to destroy your plants.

Thanks, Protea! The pods seem to be unaffected so I'll just clear the plants as they finish cropping like I would do anyway.
