I am new to this, and have what appear to be woodlice eating at leaves of peppers and ripening strawberries in the greenhouse. Any advice on how stop them will be much appreciated

Hello Mucker and welcome to the Vine. Woodlice only usually finish off the jobs the slugs have started so maybe you could check if you have slugs eating your strawberries and woodlice finishing the meal.
The answer to wodlice is just good housekeeping. Leave them nowhere to hide and nothing to eat. They like to live under things and eat any rotting vegetation so it's a good idea to make sure there's nothing left lying about in corners for them.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

As Alice says, woodlice generally feed on rotting wood and vegetation. However I have discovered that they are partial to ripening strawberries. No problems in the garden or greenhouse, but the strawberry plants on the allotment nearest the fence are woodlice heaven!

        Woodlice pests

On the site where I have my allotment, there are tons of woodlice making a nuisance of themselves. They burrow into strawberries and turn corn cobs into nurseries to raise more of the little blighters.

I haven't yet read of anything to use to keep them at bay as they are not usually regarded as pests, but any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I find woodlice just love new cucumber seedlings so I discourage the little blighters with ant powder.
