Can anyone help identify these little blighters? Cream/White caterpillars with Black spots and a black head, about an inch long at maximum and lots of webbing surrounding them. They are really laying into a new hedge. My wife thinks this a particularly bad one.

I've actually got it. It's an Ermine moth caterpillar and they do love a Bird Cherry which is what the plants are. They can cause massive infestations and strip the plants bare, they'll be getting sprayed tonight. Someone gave me this link, which is quite impressive

I found a wooly bear in my garden!
Actually, there are quite a few and I just love the name.
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.Comment
