Does any body have any idea why 3 of my potatoes look as though they are not thriving like the others. Same variety. Similar thing happened last year and the plants shrivelled and I only harvested small potatoes from them. Any help appreciated please

Yes I did use manure but all along the trench and the other plants look fine.I'm sure that a similar thing happened last year when I didn't.Does this look typical of weed killer then?its not something I use.Its in a garden plot,so no one near by.Gardening forever, housework whenever!

Bigmally that certainly sounds a possibility. I always rotate the crops so not the same site. Remember last year that the plants went brown.the seed potatoes from a reputable stockist ( I thought) Bet the volunteers on the compost heap grow without any problem!
Actually have found the odd vine weevil larvae in the beds and chucked them to the chickens.Last edited by Ja9; 24-05-2014, 08:20 PM.Gardening forever, housework whenever!
