Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
Sounds like mildew. Honeysuckle likes to have its feet in cool damp shade and its head in the sun. it's a woodland plant happiest scrambling to the tops of the trees. Give it a good watering then mulch it well with H/M compost or well rotted manure. It won't hurt to cut it back if it's very unsightly, it should re-grow very quickly. If it's in full sun and very hot consider moving it somewhere a bit more shady.
