Redcurrant blisters

Hi guys & gals
As I know next to nothing about currants, need your help. The estate walled garden has five redcurrant bushes - variety is Jonkheer Van Tets, an early type.
The leaves on the new growth are covered in a red blistering and upon inspection there are aphids or similar inside the leaves which also start to curl up.
Is this a specific pest or a general aphid. Also any recommended control ?

Got it sussed - blisters are caused by the very appropriately named "currant blister aphid"
Apparently, treatment is not necessary as bushes will still crop but suggested control is to apply Growing Success Winter Tree wash in December to kill off overwintering eggs.
