Help me identify this particularly virulent weed

Any ideas what this might be? I'm thinking possibly Speedwell?

It's an absolute pain. Between that and the fennel root everywhere!

Yes, I think it's a speedwell. I've got lots of it at my allotment. I saw some flowering today. At least it's easy to pull up!

Easy to pull, never gets prickly, doesn't get mistaken for anything else and is rather pretty.

Wendy, are you saying we can swap weeds, I have loads I want to get rid off, and being a generous person I am not looking for any in return

It's taking over my front lawn, but when it flowers it looks so pretty I can't bear to get rid of it. I'm thinking of adding more wild flowers, not mowing, and calling it a meadow.

Benji, photos 1 & 3 are speedwell, but your middle one is different: it looks like deadnettle (pinky purple flowers, stinks)
