What weed is this and how do i get rid??

Hello Everyone,

I have a pesky weed in the garden, it is like a carpet of tiny leaves that are about 3mm diameter. I think they started on the pavers but are now around the bottom of roses and in the grass.

anyone know what type of weed it is and how to get rid of it?

Looks like Helxine solerolii or mind your own business. Sorry to say it is very difficult to get rid of. You could try Glyphosphate, boiling water or strong salt solution. Physical removal but it will come back. In lawns it is almost impossible to get rid of as it is impervious to lawn weed killers. The only thing you can do is control it and learn to live with it. Not what you want to hear I'm sure.

Would you believe it but they sell it in garden centers at a huge price as a pot plant. I once won a prize in the local Hortcultural Show with a pot of it. Perhaps this is the way to go!!!
