Help wanted - plant/weed identification

Hi there. Does anyone know what this plant is? It is sprouting up everywhere. If you allow it to get bigger before digging up the bulb at the bottom looks a bit like a potato.

Hahaha yes it is...well, it looks pretty much the same as the comfrey on google images anyway. Thank you veggiechicken!! Now...what do I do with it??

I disagree im sorry, i think its the western australian "grow me on my side please mate" plant, well known if you have good neighbours

Oh and you need to grow it right side up

Looks like the flowering type of comfrey that seeds everywhere - not the Bocking one that stays put.
You could make comfrey tea. There are lots of uses for comfrey - but I can't remember them

Check the flowers when they appear. If they're blue and look a bit like forget me nots - its Alkanet, not Comfrey.
