What is this pest on my Sunflowers? *Pics*

Afternoon folks,

Quite a few of my sunflowers seem to have been affected by a particular type of bug. These bugs are in the under-side of the leaves. Does anyone know what type of bugs they are? I'm in the SW.

some kind of leaf minor.
They live not so much under the leaf as inside it, burrowing about and leaving unsightly trails.
Yours seem to be doing a lot of damage...I always think before saying this (and please forgive me KoA) but them bugs need to be squished!

I've found them all over my marigolds too, urgh.

Well, that is kind of the point of marigolds (and nasturtiums etc) to lure pests away from veggies and prize blooms!

So I'd call that a success, squish the beasties, marigolds and sunflowers will bounce back, the veg is unscathed....all in all a job well done!
