  • Breaking News: New Slug Species...

"A bewildered resident of a small village in the East Midlands, has today reported the first sighting of a new slug species; a close cousin of the Philomycus togatus. Experts have named this new species: Volatilis limax"

'The East Midlands News reporter, Tom Ripe, managed to interview the still astonished Ms SusieG ' : "I've been battling against slugs in my garden throughout this very wet June" she began "and thought I'd seen them all (apart from the species freshly sighted in Wales), but this really is a frightening turn of events" she exclaimed ...

'Renowned wildlife photographer, G Raffe, arrived at the scene and managed to shoot this wonderful, yet unnerving photograph' :

Is it hanging from the roof waiting to drop into the 'swede/potato' bag or is it rising out of aforementioned bag like some sort of animal/vegetable hybrid?

Mr Raffe is a very experienced wildlife reporter and normally very knowledgeable - so I'm surprised he didn't comment on the Pentadigitus that is crawling out of the bag of compost.
He does have a habit of telling tall stories though

I couldn't believe my eyes this morning when I walked into the GH and that little abseiling slug was dangling by a spider thread (yes, still alive..!!) in front of me.....!!!!!
