Reusing planters after cucumber mosaic virus?

Wondering if all you clever peeps can help me. After destroying all affected plants, do I need to get rid of the soil they grew in too? If this is the case and I need to sterilise the planter as well, what is the best way to sterilise it so I can reuse it? I really need them to re-pot my replacement courgette seedlings.

I've had a look and can't find any info regarding getting rid of soil after cmv. It is mainly spread by aphids, but also by contact with infected material via gloves/hands/tools. So it would seem the main points are 1) to practice good hygiene by cleaning tools & hands after handling infected plants (the easy bit) & 2) to reduce spreading by aphids (the hard part!)

First destroy infected plants, don't compost. Then try to avoid re-infection (easier said than done - aphids are little blighters)

Try & avoid having plants the infected aphids can overwinter on - rhs says groundsel & chickweed particularly likely to harbour it. Infection is most severe in early growth after about 6 weeks (seedlings unlikely to be affected although can happen). A floating mesh to act as a physical barrier can help.

Remember it's not just cucumbers & other curcurbits - for example tomatoes & aubergines can get it
Try growing resistant cultivars
