Anybody know what animal disturbs the soil around the roots of growing potatoes, removes (devours) all the potatoes and leaves the foliage intact. This has occurred in an allotment recently when growing Xmas potatoes.

I'd go with rats too ( if you're sure it's not humans??)
Back in the UK, most of my JA's had been dug up by rats and stored on the plot next to ours ( about 20 feet away)
Over here voles eat so many of my bulbs/ roots of plants...flippin pain.
Oh and welcome to the Vine from me too!Last edited by Nicos; 24-10-2016, 08:03 PM."Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple
