I spotted a vine on the back fence or our new allotment last night, but had no idea what it was until I googled it this morning.

It has a five fingered leaf, with jagged edges (similar in style to hemp but smaller), with the formation of small berries on red stalks.

Answers on a postcard. :-)

If it's a grape vine good for you

If it's Virginia creeper then you're gonna have alot of pruning ahead (and compost material)

If it's Poison Ivy .... no, scratch that

I bought a virginia creeper to cover my ugly brick wall at the end of the garden. Compost material is greatly appreciated, as I have a fair bit of cardboard that needs more leaf to cover it on the compost heap.
My guess was that of a virginia creeper too
