  • Mulberry tree

We have a 30foot (aprox) mulbeery tree that has just started to weep sap from where it divides into two at the base. Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Does anyone know the right time to prune a mulberry?

Always fancied a mulberry bush but I didn't realise they grew so big!

Hope a friendly grape comes along shortly who can answer your question!

Btw, how do you gather mulberries which are 30 foot in the air?

        Hello Snadger...

I net around the bottom branches, when the mulberries are ripe, they drop into the net! Just a case of getting to the net before the birds!

Thats how they harvest olives as well, but I think they shake the tree, at least they do on the Dol Mio advert! Only ever tasted Mulberries from a small bush before and they were really tasty!
