Hi all,
the seeds in the issue of Let's Grow Veg 7 (out on the 20th Feb) are
aubergine Black Beauty,
tomato Money Maker,
cauliflower All the Year Round,
carrot Early Nantes 5,
pepper (Hot) Cayenne,
parsley Plain leaved 2,
parsnip Tender and True,
cabbage Golden Acre,
cucumber Marketmore and
leek Autumn Mammoth 2.
They are all tried and tested favourites - I'm guessing many of us have grown lots of these before and had good crops even in years with strange weather!
They are all Mr Fothergill's too, so they are full packs and should have a pretty good germination rate. I've been a bit disappointed in the past with cheaper seeds which can seem like a bargain until you plant them!

I got my copy on friday in WHSmith, glad iwent in as there were only 5 left on shopfloor. Well i am so happy with all the seeds and the fantastic info about everything. Love the allotment feature, never knew they were so cheap to get. I may have to get one as i am running out of space in my garden.
The free seed potatoes are "foremost" are they a good spud to grow? I will be doing spuds for 1st time this year as i normally do salad stuff for my kids!
I have seen your ad in the back tattieman, fear not it is in there!
I bought a copy last summer and never managed to see it again in store.
What a fab mag please keep making it as i am a novice gardener and love the help that your mag provides me with. And i love the free seeds, they are all stuff that we would eat anyway. looks like the next 2 issues will be great too.
Happy growing Ally xx

Like last year I have had a problem getting it in the North East.
Our local Tesco's both said they will not be stocking it as its shelf life is too long, and they have a policy of only carrying short term Mags. W.H Smiths did not know what I was talking about, I had to show them the advert in GYO.
Wow, tired of it all, waste of petrol and time, utter joke!

Yes got my magazine this morning and it looks very good. The Foremost potatoes are quite a useful potato but would not be one of my favourites. I am sure alot of people will get a lot of use from buying the magazine. It just needs more information about potatoes in my opinion! ( I always say that)

Could someone please give me an idea of what the P+P for the wild bird pack/blueberry bush and DVD are in the mag? and what does the wild bird pack consist of?
I was going to buy the mag but don't need any of the "free seeds" and would only buy it if the other offers were worthwhile.
Is it worth paying £8 for it considering i dont need any of the seeds?
Thanks

Am sorry to say I am a bit dissapointed. I really enjoyed them last year and thought I'd splash out on it this year. A hell of a lot of adverts (Sorry tattieman) for expensive kit and not that much content. If my opinion doesn't change when I've finished reading tonight, I won't be purchasing againNever test the depth of the water with both feet
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory....
Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else.

It must be hard to find content for these magazines at times.
What would everyone like to see in the next magazine?
I will vote for more spuds as always
Step by step guide to growing spuds in containers?
Christmas harvest Spuds?
I just can't stop.
