Why don't you do your own mag/book and just make it available as a pdf. This is generally the way the market is going and there are sites now that will sell it for you and you could earn a bit of cash!
This is the way I personally see the publishing going (anyone being able to sell a book themselves, without a cost accept time), as books and mags will be more expensive, Ink/paper costs have trebled last year and magazines/newspapers have been unable to up prices that is partly why so many publishers are going to the wall, besides the internet.
In America the top 4 newspapers are in dire straights and the general consensus is that they just did not understand the Internet and have a proper online model.
My biggest bugbear is that they provide a Ebook version but still try and charge the same amount as a printed version and not learnt from the mistakes made by Music companies.

. I more than likely will be sending off for the chilli seed special. (4 types of chilli inc orange habenero's and the price inc of P&P for £5)
