No Secatuers in coventry. They had some similar which cost the same but they wouldn't let me have them as they wer'nt the sam as the picture.

We have a large Wilko's here, went in with my voucher and they didn't have the secateurs, but did have "pruners" which looked exactly the same and the same retail price.

Was told by the staff that the coupon wasn't valid for these and they had never had any of the ones you could get with the voucher.

Off to another store a bit further from home, same story.

What good is promising something free to readers if they can't actually get it? And isn't it rather misleading for the magazine to have on the front cover "Free secateurs for every reader" when in fact it's not the case?

Almost exactly the same story as this in Banbury, Oxfordshire.

150 miles to my nearest Wilkos. I was just miffed because I really needed a watering can when that offer came up ! Maybe vouchers for mail order? Though I suppose they'd lose out so much on the postage it wouldn't be worth it for them and if postage were charged I'd have the usual Isle of Skye price hike so it wouldn't be worth it for me either! Ah well, something stuck to the front of the magazine it is then (and I'll have to find a watering can somewhere else ).

We do have a few Wilkos in our area, but I rarely go to any of the shopping centres and when I do I either forget to take the vouchers or they are out of date.
I agree with previous posts for the free seeds, I always like getting freebies, but it would be good to have, maybe, out of the ordinary varieties that we wouldn't normally try if left to our own devices. Along with the normal carrots, beetroot, etc. Also, if it is only the subscribers that tend to get the free seeds, perhaps some heritage ones once in a while.

Oops! Seems I am the only lucky one; although I haven't tried for my free secateurs, I got the tomato feed and watering can (not the one they said they were giving away, but a similar one), but this was my second attempt in their Bedford store.
