New 'Bookazine' out Dec 26Th for all you Allotment lovers.!
10 packets of seed is well worth £8 providing you plan on growing all 10 packets. From what I have seen so far it just looks like Grow It under another name. All the same I will buy a copy just to see how good a read it is.

Yes, you're right - it is a good deal just for the seeds alone. However I don't need any of those seeds so it's not such a bargain for me. I also suspect that some of the articles in it will have been taken from previous GYO mags. (And I've kept all my mags for the last 2 years). So probably it will be of a much greater interest to a newcomer.
But I may still get a copy eventually...........
No sign of it here either. Not in Tesco or WHS. Even though I have quite a collection of veg. growing books I will still get a copy if I can find one. I know it sounds a bit pathetic but I like the pictures. LOL
Hi
I have been to two smiths and Tescos could not find it, i email Smiths they hold me it would be out on the 7th Jan hope it is weath the wait. hope this helps
Thanks lillie, some people have them in shops near them, already apparently.
And when you have gone to the trouble of preordering and also being a subscriber, these things are supposed to arrive promptly and by post to save the trouble of going to the shop and getting it. I see it as a bit of a bonus for 'being in the club' so to speak. It was supposed to be out on Boxing Day, so I was expecting it on the first postal day after that.
and welcome to the Vine. ( I did reply you a message, but you must have signed off already by the time I had read it.)

Well I bought 1 of only 2 copies available from my local giant Tesco's.
After a farce at the tills, with the bar code not recognised in any form and lots of faffing buy staff, who even asked "are you sure that's the right price for mag?"
Got it home and had a flick, well I was expecting some leaflets or offers as was the case with the other Bookazine types they have previously done.
Seeds are as stated on the cover & advert.
It feels the thinnest Mag they have done in the Bookazine range, it states 60 pages, but it is the same price as the others.
No offers or comps available, unless you include a coupon to subscribe to GYO mag.
Articles inside on:- Seed Sowing, How to grow Leeks, French Beans, Pumpkins, Courgettes, Sweet Peppers, Sweet Corn, Purple Sprouting Broccoli, Beetroot, Chillies, Tomatoes, Carrots, potatoes, How to Subscribe to GYO, Summer Salads, Rhubarb, Garlic, Broad Beans, Onions, Brussel Sprouts.
There is NOTHING here I have not seen before in the normal GYO, in fact in the normal GYO you get, chicken stuff, Fruit growing and adverts, letters, and comps.
Got a copy yesterday and like Seasprout was rather disappointed with it. It was like the first chapter out of a book on growing veg which is fine if you have never grown veg before. I think with a name like 'Your complete Allotment' I was expecting at least one article on allotments.
