I have now tried Morrisons AND our local massive Tesco's and neither had the mag in. I'm destined to dip out I think. I had to settle for a mag called "Grow it" instead.

Got Feb's issue on Saturday but not read it fully yet. It felt like a really thick edition but was only the usual thickness, just very full of leaflets and the above mentioned tomato seeds.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Not in Tesco yesterday. But the new allotment mag appeared yesterday which should have been available on the 26th so looks as if they are at least a week behind.

I got my Feb issue a few days ago. There's a lot of 'extras' in there, but one that's worthwhile - I was going to post about this anyway - a £10 voucher for some Charlotte potatoes from T&M. Just pay P&P.

You took your life in your hands and went out in Glasgow!! According to the TV the snow's making all non-mainroads and pavements lethal - do they exaggerate?

It's snowing again in Aberdeen at the mo. We await the announcment that we can leave before we get snowed in...

BTW - welcome to the Vine

I've had mine a couple of days - I subscribe, and it nearly always arrives by around the 2nd of the month.

Like many of you I missed out when the shops didn't have stocks of the mag, that's why I subscribed. I treat myself occasionally to 'other' gardening mags, but I do look forward to GYO. Sad innit!

Yes all non-main roads and pavements are lethal! We had a sprinkling of snow Monday night but we've had nowhere near as much as anyone else Our only problem is the low temperatures freezing the untreated roads and pavements.

I'm supposed to be doing work in Montrose but the company I work for isn't sending me up there at the moment!

Oh and I finally got the February issue today... Almost fell twice tho on the way to get it!

                              And thanks for the welcome

I got the Feb. issue today in Tesco.
Rhona is the 'Charlotte' potatoes offer for subscribers? The copy I got has a card insert to get 'Nicola' potatoes + 2 packs of seeds from Mr. Fothergills for £3.99 p&P. & a free 'Veg-growing basics' book for £2.14 p&p, all sound like good offers. I like the selection of free tomato seeds as well, I grew Roma the summer before last & enjoyed them.
Interesting topical article from Pippa Greenwood on the edible garden in cold weather!
