Subscription/freebies?

I couldn't find the answer to this elsewhere so though I'd ask. Does the subscription include the 'usual' free gifts on the magazine or are these on the full price shop-bought ones only?

I'm thinking of subscribing rather than paying cover price but I really fancy the book that's included with the Feb issue, and I'm not so fussed about the seeds that come with the subscription so just wanted to check!

Hi, yes you get the freebies with the subscription, at least I have always had them. The books are better than the run of the mill seeds but, the powers to be last year did improve on the free seeds with some unusual ones as well as the staples.

That's fab - thank you! I have nothing against free seeds (love them!!!) but I really wanted the book and would have skipped the subscription for this month if it wasn't going to be included

Sometimes its worth checking before subscribing as there can be offers upto 50% off the annual subscription.
It bugs me that companies don't consider finding ways of thanking their loyal customer base with promotions/offers in the same way they like to find super deals for new subscribers.
When you've been subscribing for several years to see someone new getting a 50% deal on an annual subscription when they've just taken your 6 months subs for the same amount is a bit gaoling.

I queried once why the subscription gifts are only available to new subscribers and nothing for loyal readers and was told the offers are available to all. I'll never find the thread now, but I've never worked out how to access any special offers, other than cancel and re subscribe each year. Another gardening magazine I get has two editions and subscribers do get special offers and discount codes.
