I love celeriac...I just can't grow it it needs starting off early and I think it needs copious amounts of water to make it a reasonable size to peel. I tried twice - both times only slightly larger than tennis balls.

I assumed the VSP would have plenty of celeriac seeds and so I gave my packet to the allotment shop. I grew them last year but don't really see the point.

Hmm, a bit like very mild celery, more watery than a spud but I love them mashed with a little olive oil. Difficult to describe taste If you are going to try growing them, I'd start them of asap let us know how you get on.

Lovely in a coleslaw too.
My first attempt with them last year. They were tiny but still made use of them.
We had bigger radishes.

My celeriac from last year are still in the ground - seem to be doing ok though
