  • Pear tree on the front cover

    Hi

I'm thinking about ordering the pear tree that's offered on the front of the May? issue, it's not live yet though, will someone post a link to that page for me when it's up and running please. Thanks

Can only wish I was as clever as you VC. That's the one, thanks very much.

Just in case anyone else is wanting to order one, that is the right link, it does come up at £10.90 but you need to put the GYB30 code in the order code box. Mine is ordered

Has anyone ordered the pear tree? I tried to do it last night but the website seems to be having issues, it says that there has been an error and to try again later. 24 hours later and I'm still getting the same message.

I just followed the link and had no issues. Haven't completed as don't actually want one but testing out the link. Have you closed your browser and followed the link or just opened up from yesterday?

I wouldn’t have wanted the pear tree (already got one) but I am a bit miffed that the offer wasn’t on the cover of my digital copy. I know this happened a few months ago with a blueberry which I knew about because I had read it in the ‘coming next month’ section of the previous magazine. I wonder how much else I miss out on for being a digital subscriber…
Posted on an iPad so apologies for any randomly auto-corrected gobbledegook

Yeah the link works fine, it's when I checkout that it says error, wondering if anyone has completed the purchase or not able to like me.

Have had laptop switched off since last night so I don't think it's that. I'm giving in for now, will try again on Sunday.

I've just went through the process and ordered one just to see. I can almost guarantee they will ring up and cancel it though.

Well I thought I'd give it one more go before a hectic weekend at work and it's went through today, I can only assume that there was a glitch and it's been fixed early on this morning. Either way I'm happy it's sorted.

Normally there is a surcharge for living in one of the more... er... exotic parts of the UK but apparently not in this case. I've had companies ring up before to ask for more postage so fingers crossed this time..

I bought one this size 3 years ago - it was a complete twig when it arrived, but it is now nearly 6ft tall and about to flower for the first time in its short life. Cannot. Wait.
