I got it, some of the advice was a little outdated/super traditional. In places some information wasn't fact checked very thoroughly. But it was handy by giving a week-by-week gardening guide for the year, but mostly only traditional vegetable crops. It was a little useful, but you can find much better information on the Internet, especially on the grapevine
I saw that too - in S****burys I think it was. I know they often give extra packets of flower seeds away on the cover of a certain weekly gardening magazine. I work in a newsagents and this Tuesday our copies only had Echinacea purpurea on the front yet the supermarket copy (which I bought) had the Echinacea plus a packet of Francoa sonchifolia 'Pink Giant' (never heard of it!)
I'm curious to know what the book is! Please can you tell me the title Akion T (Welcome back too)
Thanks VC, it's good to be back (house decorating always seems to take precedence over garden, especially when said house is cold and draughty and leaking )
It's "Growing Vegetables - a step-by-step guide to planning, planting and produce" by Alex Smith, first published 2011, which is surprising I thought it was a little older..
