If my Sweetcorn ever fails, I will give up growing..there's just no point in going on.!
This year I am growing anew variety from plants of distinction called Candy Mountain F1.
It was recommended by Pippa greenwood from Gardeners world magazine last year. I have to say I have been impressed with the plants so far. Quite tall, dark green with mostly 2 cobs per plant.
As yet not taste tested, I'm just trying to make room in the freezer to get as many cobs in before they go over or are raided by the slugs.
