I've got clear plastic on my new poly-tunnel. Not sure how much help I can be though as its only been on for 6 months. The plastic itself was second-hand but unused, as the bloke who bought it originally had a change of plan and built a shed instead of a tunnel. It feels very heavy duty, so I reckon it will last 5 years or so - maybe more.

I've got the green mash style stuff on my smaller tunnel - this is worn through in places and some of the seams have started to pop - roughly 4 years old and was the cheapest I could find on Ebay. I'm thinking about buying corrugated PVC sheets ( second-hand for preference) to replace it as being a longer lasting option and the steel frame is quite sturdy still :-)

The one i looking at is like the green blow aways, but it has clear plastic instead of the green mesh,i do have a heavy metal frame, not tunnel frame, was going to put together and cover with the recognized poly covering, saw these and had another idea,

Went through an analogous process, and decided that it was cheaper to by a frame off Ebay than it was to mess around trying to make one - once I'd factored my time and effort in to the equation.

I'm not too convinced by the polythene sheeting option, as I really don't like putting things up which are going to last less than 10 years.

As I said if I can get some cheap, I'll try some corrugated roofing sheets on my small poly-tunnel, which probably only has 1 more year left in its current cover . I've also had a look at the double-wall polycarbonate sheets for making a more permanent set-up out of my new tunnel. You can bend them a bit lengthwise, and people have done that to create growing structures (I'd end up with something roughly the x-section of a double Gothic arch). I need to find a second hand conservatory roof to use though - as the price of new sheets would take it outside of what I'm prepared to spend.

A more local uk company would be easier for parts missing & contact,I saw some reviews & couriers are blamed etc what a palava! Also I’ve got a clear plastic blowaway & it caused sunscald once, the green plastic blowaways seem to filter the sun & protect from burning, shade cloth could be used though,we don’t have that many hot days

We have got one like the green but with a clear/white cover. We like it, simply didn’t have the funds for one costing 100’s. It didn’t seem to get too hot. If there is anything specific you are wondering I can try an answer

It’s not a Dancover one or completely clear like a blow away one is.
