(First time logged in although I've been lurking for years!)

I always start stuff off in a blowaway propagator/mini greenhouse thingummy inside the cold (glass) greenhouse from around now. Got Amsterdam carrots, Cabbice cabbage, Cylindra beetroot - all just 24 of each for now) and trying my luck with a handful of slightly old aubergines I found :-) Leeks next weekend as I though t I had some but apparently not.

(Sidenote, as technically not sowing per se) As well as that I have about a foot of growth on six buckets of sprouted Apache spuds left over in a sack from last year's harvest... I don't imagine they'll make it but they were there and I had the compost so, why not? In a greenhouse on a South-facing slope in North Devon strange things can happen: these were from last year's crop, planted on Feb 14th.

Today I sowed a small tray of peas - A variety called Jumbo - they won’t get very big though as I plan to harvest as pea shoots.

Also about 60 bulbils from my babbingtons leek.

          I'm gardening!!
Well to be precise the pot leeks are coming along nicely in the propagator in the conservatory. Seeds were sown on the 27th December (I think) in MPC rather than seed compost in these smaller modules to avoid disturbing the roots by having to lift them out. There will be one plant per module which will be potted on when a decent size.

This weekend am aiming to multi module sow some early peas for pea shoot in greenhouse.

Erected my new blow away in the conservatory.
Sowed my sweet peas and they are now in their new home.

Aubergines just poking through in propagator. Started them about three weeks earlier than last year.
I live in a part of the UK with very mild winters. Please take this into account before thinking "if he is sowing those now...."
