Problems with the Forum

You're nominally "logged out" after about 2 hours of inactivity.
I think it remembers where you were at that time, then lets you know when you come back, if you've missed anything. "It's" not very good at remembering though.

Maybe I've only recently started having two hours of inactivity!

It's no good, guys. I definitely need help. Starting to feel unloved and unwanted. I'm still getting the same nothing new messages when I arrive, if I click on the what's new and new posts tabs. If I click on Forum, I can see there have been new posts since my last visit. So something's up. I've tried logging out and logging back in.

Anyone got any advice?

I get the "Nothing new" message too but I ignore it and go to New posts.

Try going to "Quick links" - the drop down box has an option for "Today's posts". which brings up a load of posts.

Thanks. New Posts and What's New come up with the nothing new message. I've never used Today's Posts before, but have just had a look. It comes up with most of the threads shown as read, including a couple that I know I've never looked at. Odd. Anyway, it's a start, thanks. At least I'll be able to see what's going on!

I'm no longer having to mess about with the vertical scroll bar in order to get the Forum to react to my actions. Good news but I'd love to know what has changed

Yep! Bladdy annoying too - because when I try to click to scroll the screen, I'm hitting the add instead so repeatedly clicking the advert. That in itself does make me wonder.............

Well, I don't know if it's coincidence or if someone has done something, but I've just turned up and everything is as it used to be, with latest posts in What's New. Brilliant. Thanks to whoever if someone did tweak something. Fingers crossed if it was purely by chance. Long may it last.

Dear Admin ( mods you are brilliant, but I know this isn’t your department)
I am having to repeatedly sign in. This is starting to annoy!
I use an iPad on chrome.
If I go away from the forum to look at something else weather that’s an app on my device or to google something ( usually a name of a flower or something someone on here has mentioned). When I come back I have to sign in again! I do not close the forum tab it’s always open. I can be away from the forum for less the a minute. If I was away for more then an hour I’d expect to have to sign in again.
What really gets me, when I look at all the name of who’s active I’m there!
This has been going on for some time. I Gave the forum the benefit of the doubt as wasn’t sure if it was my old decrepit iPad. I have a new iPad, it still happening and getting worse. Today I was on here, iPad went into sleep mode (always does after 5 minutes of no use) while I got a drink. Woke iPad up, I had to sign in!
Admit please look into this.
