evening all, just an update in case anyones interested
Been to see MY 'garden' today ! the bloke thats leaving was having a tidy up(and it REALLY needs it !!!!!) so i had chance for a good nosey around, theres a huge cherry tree, a huge fuchia bush, possible rubarb plants (couldnt get through the overgrowth to find em ha ha), gooseberry bushes,a huuuge conifer, a poly tunnel frame thats about 20 ft long, the greenhouse(dont think its 60 ft long but its huge, i've got to measure it, ha ha), a big rabbit run with 2 cages, a fenced area for my chickens, and i bought his shed (about 10x6) for 20. theres loads of pots and bins and tat and stuff so will take forever to tidy ! just waiting now for him to leave and give me the key !!!!!!

Sounds great laikadog, but at the risk of being a party pooper, don't be surprised to find that he's sold some of the other bits to different people.

That happened to us when we took ours on, one old boy came along and said 'that's mine...,' and we couldn't really argue. Found out later he was a real tea leaf and regularly 'collects' things (including produce).
Just go with the flow and start to get excited at the thought of planting.

got the key off the owner today ! other bloke hasnt moved owt yet but i can start clearing tomorrow, me and my 2 daughters spent a happy hour poking around, the place is covered with victorian bottles, there bags of em dumped all over in the under growth, and in the greenhouse. Theres loads of broken glass about too, and about a million plant pots.
It was lovley and peaceful, the birds were singing, and as we left there was an amazing red sunset, got home and got a rollocking off the husband cos i'd thrown the chicken in the oven and dashed off to the garden, but not realised it was on gas mark 9 and set all the smoke alarms off in the house

It's not the growing old I mind but the growing stupid with it!

poly tunnel is only a frame just realised there is another set of frames there too, the greenhouse is a bit knakered but for 40 a year for the whole garden, its better than a smack in't gob.
