I think SBP did a thread about "why we live where we do." I've had a look but cant find it, but wanted to add this.
Been away for a fair while and was dreading coming home to the garden. It was sort of as bad as I thought it would be, although I noticed that at least half of my grass had been cut.
I assumed (I know, one never should) that it was my friends who look after my place but it wasnt.
Have just found out that its a young girl, mum of 3 kids, who, because she knew I was away, and like my garden, borrowed a ride on lawn mower from a friend of hers and cut at least 5000m sq of my grass, when her kids were with their dad.
When I asked her why, she said "parce qu'on t'aime bien" which means, "because we like you".
Thats yet another reason why I live in this fantastic place.
