              I perfected the following before going on holiday in France. "Je suis �cossais et je parle seulement un petit peu de fran�ais, mais je vais essayer". Being Scottish seemed to hit the spot as was the fact that I was willing to try.

                I used to use that sort of line in Greece - it usually meant an extra bottle of wine or plate of olives on the house - and as a lasting momento I use a Greek swearword as a password

                      Retsina for me, Ap - love it or hate it - I loved it - but you can only drink it chilled, sitting outside in the sun looking at the sea. Otherwise it tastes like disinfectant!
                      I have some lumps of pine resin here, and a sniff of that does the same for me as your cinnamon candle does for you!
