Fruit for next year

Hello.
Id like to buy a wonderful fruiting plant/tree that I can plant in a large pot (for now) and into the ground next year., perhaps the following depending on how much work is done in the garden. Id REALLY REALLY like some fruit from it though.
Im sure its too late for anything from anything this year - but next?

What would you buy?

Loganberry gives you a lot of fruit from a small space and relatively easy to look after - you will need a framework to tie it to eg a fence.

If you have no fruit at all, I'd start with raspberries as tend to have fewest pests. Autumn fruiting from a garden centre or off internet might even give you something this year but would be dear, bare roots in winter would be more economical. Most soft fruit give a small amount in first year after planting and yield increases thereafter.
A strawberry tower planted up in now to Autumn should supply you with a crop next year.
Fruit trees are more of a long term commitment and will generally take a couple of years to produce anything but you might be lucky. I planted 2 nectarines in a polytunnel in 2017 and got about 5kg of fruit off 1 in the same year (none on the other). Not very much last year but they are both loaded this year. Though you are advised to remove any fruit that does set in the first year while it establishes itself.
Apples and plums are best for our climate and will generally fruit 2 to 4 years after planting. Lots of supermarkets (Aldi, Morrisons...) sell them cheap in the spring.

You're very welcome - might be worth having a look in your local Morrison's if you have one - mine has a variety of fruit plants in pots for about £2, including loganberries.
